This story takes you through the extraordinary journey of Dom and Bea, two dreamers from different backgrounds; one from the scenic Normandy and the other from picturesque Sweden. Their shared passion for Los Angeles, the pulsating rhythm of the city, the scorching heat, and the sight of surfboards dancing with the waves inspires them to chase their shared dream.

Flashback

This journey started in the 90s where Dom balanced his days between hitting the books and riding the waves with his friends while Bea was working in a local café experiencing the Californian street food. Life at the time was somehow easy. Dom would even catch waves at Jaws Surf Break (on picture) after all Hawaii is just a flight away from L.A.

Ironically they didn't know each other but they were living the same experience of the Cali lifestyle that would set their mindset forever and inspire them to create Little L.A. But they didn't know the outcome. Yet...

The plan

Many years later they would be brought together by their shared love for food, people, surf and the happy Cali lifestyle and an undeniable common ambition. The concept was promising. A capsule of L.A. spreading passion with people for that laid-back, positive Cali culture. Bea would take her recipes from the best L.A street food that speaks to your heart. Dom would play music to soothe your soul and resonates with nothing but good vibes to share with their future customers. Now was the time to bring it to life and the name would be Little L.A.

NO MONEY NO HONEY

Just like Dom and Bea, many entrepreneurs find themselves standing on the precipice of uncertainty when starting a business. Their business plan may be ready, but there is often a need for capital to bring it to life. For the first time of their life everything felt insecure, especially with two small daughters to feed, loosening the grip on that financial security. Taking a loan can feel like a daunting task, but remember, all great adventures involve some risk.

When desaster strikes

Unfortunately, Little L.A. faced right from the start an unforeseen roadblock. The contractor, unethically, pocketed part of the money without commencing any work. At that moment, it seemed as if the world had come crashing down. The contract had been signed, a significant fraction of the money had unwittingly been funneled into a scam. Debts were mounting, and to make matters worse, the legal counsel on the phone confirmed the worst - nothing could be done. Slowly but surely, Little L.A. began to fade into the abyss. Truly, it was a sobering reminder of the worst-case scenario one could find oneself in.

FIGHTING

Life throws curveballs and Dom and Bea got this one right in the face. Resilience is key. They faced their fears, pushed their limits, and held onto hope even when the outcome of their business was uncertain.

ONE YEAR LATER

After one year of building a renovations. Little L.A. became reality. Looking back, this scam was a good thing. They have designed and shaped this shop themselves from their own blood and sweat, asking friends to join too on Sundays.

To be entrepreneur is not an easy choice. It can be dark. But at the end are we ready to risk it all? What price are we willing to pay to fulfill our dreams?

Bea and Dom are a testament to the power of dreams and the magic that happens when we have the courage to chase them.

DREAMS

Our dreams are not cheap, they are priceless. They require dedication, sacrifice, and sometimes a heavy toll. But remember, the price of a dream is not a burden, it's an investment in a future brimming with happiness and fulfilment.

SUPPORT & Friends

In the face of adversity, it's easy to feel isolated. However, remember that true friendship shines brightest during tough times. Ever notice how some people seem to revel in your failures, eager to watch you slip. Ignore them. Instead, surround yourself with individuals who uplift you, who believe in your potential, and who genuinely desire the best for you, without a hint of jealousy. These are your real friends, your personal cheerleaders. Embrace their support and reciprocate their unwavering faith in you. Because real friends aren't just there for the good times, they stand by you when things get hard. And in the end, these are the friends that truly matter.
